Artifacts Identification Weekend A A

Artifact ID weekend event cover-01

Have you found an interesting fossil while walking in the woods, do you have a family heirloom that has been passed down and want some more information about it? Bring it to the Naranjo Museum on Saturday or Sunday March 3rd or 4th from 1pm-6pm. Artifacts Experts Morris Weeks and Dr. Neal Naranjo have years of experience in the field and in study with identifying rocks, bones, fossils, archaeological objects  and Native American Artifacts.

With museum admission, you will be able to get your items identified. To help our experts identify your items, it is best to try and collect as much information about them prior to coming to the museum. Location of where you found the item, approximate date when you found it, what the environment was like etc. As a museum, we are not able to give appraisals for your artifacts, but we are happy to try and give you as much other information as we can. Donations for identification  are appreciated.

RSVP: If you plan to bring items for the artifact identification weekend, please inform us by contacting Veronica Amoe at (936)-404-9202 or by sending an email to This will help us make sure there is plenty of time for each person.
