The Purpose of the Naranjo Museum of Natural History

Community Supporters

The Naranjo Family is pleased to share their passion for pre-history, ancient history and Texas history. Dr. Jennings Neal Naranjo, Ph.D. has had a life long passion for paleontology. Thanks to the support and encouragement of his wife, Dr. Naranjo built and donated his museum collection of fossils to the Naranjo Museum of Natural History for the East Texas community to enjoy. Dr. Naranjo oversees the operations, exhibits and research of the museum collections.

Mary Ann Naranjo, CPA shares her husbands passion for history, education and philanthropy. As a certified public accountant, Mary Ann donates her expertise in overseeing the business and accounting functions of the Naranjo Foundation and Naranjo Museum.

Katie Naranjo, proud daughter, specializes in public relations and online marketing. Since the opening of the museum, Katie shares her expertise in communications to provide information to the public on upcoming museum events and developments.

Jennings Neal Naranjo II, right-hand to Dr. Neal, joins the team on dinosaur digs and assists the museum with cataloging the fossil collection. Finishing school in California, Jennings travels to Lufkin regularly to help the museum.
