New Early Human Artifact: Homo naledi A A

Meet Homo naledi, the most recently discovered member of the human genus.

This skull replica was 3-d printed and donated by the graphics art media lab at Angelina College. A digital blue print for the skull was used to create an exact replica of a skull that was found along with several other skeletal fragments in the Rising Star Cave in South Africa.

The Naranjo Museum would like to thank Reg Reynolds, Professor of Arts and Education at Angelina College for donating the printed replica and producing the informational video. We thank Angelina College Intern William Martin for designing the information label for Homo naledi.

Homo naledi skull replica is currently on display in the artifacts section of the Naranjo Museum of Natural History.
