VIP SNEAK PREVIEW EVENT INFORMATION:
DATE: Saturday, March 31st, 2012
WHEN: 6PM
WHERE: Naranjo Museum of Natural History 5104 South First St., Lufkin, TX
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Media is invited to join speaker Dr. Neal Naranjo immediately before the event at 6:00pm for a guided tour of the museum.
Dr. Neal Naranjo aims to create cultural and educational opportunities that the families of East Texas would otherwise not have access to.
In addition to showcasing many dinosaur fossils, the Naranjo Museum sponsors multiple trips and digging excursions. The educational exhibits take the visitor from the beginning of the dig through the stages of the excavation, including plaster jacketing of the specimen.
Unique to the Naranjo Museum are five dinosaur eggs believed to be more than 68 million years old. Through the innovative use of medical technology at Woodland Heights Diagnostics Center, Dr. Neal Naranjo was able to produce clear scans of the embryos.
